Pan Comido

Installation bread sculptures, bench and fabrics. 2019. Skopje.

Pan Comido was created in collaboration with Tatiana Kocmur during our artist residency in the City of Skopje. The figures made out of bread depict some of the newly constructed monuments, sculptures and facades around the city. The renovation plan “Skopje 2014” is considered a scam to the citizens who woke up one day and found their city invaded by these massive presences. Pan Comido was installed in a private garden waiting to be attacked and devoured by insects.  While the title in Spanish translates as “eaten bread” the popular expression means: “something is easy to solve”.
